About Valerie
Having spent many years working as a massage therapist and dance teacher, Valerie went to Emerson College to study storytelling and continues to study with noted storytellers such as Hugh Lupton and Shonaleigh.
Valerie is a member of the Society for Storytelling and enjoys meeting regularly with other storytellers at local storytelling circles.
Her background in body work and dance brings a grace and physical eloquence to her storytelling. Valerie is equally at home telling for small, intimate gatherings and with larger scale performance storytelling.
Valerie tells stories for adults, children and special interest groups. She tells in village halls, churches, private homes, in bookshops, cafes, on the land, at local festivals – wherever they will have her!
She offers individual tales, themed events, developed sets, solo or in collaboration with other storytellers and musicians and commissions.
